A Virginia teenager, Christopher Hartless, has opted for homeschooling following a clash with his high school regarding two large American flags on his truck.
Despite school officials’ request to remove the flags due to potential distraction, Hartless asserts his First Amendment right and family’s connection to the country.
Hartless’s stepmother, Christina Kingery, strongly supports his stand, while the school emphasizes a parking policy against flags and banners to ensure safety. Kingery expressed, “I told my son if this is what he’s believing in, then we are both going to stand behind him all the way.”
